In 1974, Francis Darroze founded his business as a trader and producer of vintage Bas-Armagnacs relying on his many years of experience, tasting, and visits to the ageing cellars of Bas-Armagnac, the sub-region of Armagnac where the most rich, complex and interesting spirits are produced and has consequently gained a national and international reputation for quality and integrity.

1971 CHATEAU DE GAUBE at Perquie (200ml) : nice golden
color with darker tints. the nose is very complex showing different style
of flavours : fruit (quince, apricot), matured flavours (walnuts, cocoa,
leather). On the palate, the matured flavours are dominant : bitter
chocolate and walnuts.

1981 Domaine de Bertruc at freche (200ml) : nice gold
colour, with darker tints. The nose is extremely fine. Some superb aromas
of fruits (dry apricot, citrus, tangerine) are coming with vanilla, linden
and mint. Very fresh nose. In the palate, the tannins are silky. The
balance between alcohol, tannins and flavours is remarkable. Nice racy eau
de vie.

1991 Domaine de Salie(200ml): Amber color
with golden tints. The nose is very interesting with fruity flavours (figs,
prune) and spices (licorice, vanilla). In the palate, the balance is
perfect. Very nice Armagnac from Baco grappe.
