The past three years spent at Armadale Cellars as the 'Import' Wine Buyer (along with the 12 years in the industry) I've seen my palate continually change and challenged.
I have worked across all sectors of the industry from vineyards, (several vintages in the Hunter and Yarra Valleys) to restaurants and hotels across Australia and the United Kingdom. I love matching food and wine.
My life has become a wine journey.
I left Australia to study @ "THE WINE and SPIRITS TRUST," London which is the precursor for the coveted Masters of Wine qualification. With the benefit of MW lecturer's I studied the advanced certificate and I'm over half of the way to my Diploma Of Wine.
My career has seen me travel extensively throughout the French, Spanish and Italian wine regions. For me, wine is an extension of my emotions and I enjoy sharing that knowledge with clients. I have an insatiable urge to taste all things Italian and once had to be dragged kicking and screaming out of Beaune (Fr) after discovering my first love….."Burgundy".
Being born and raised in the Hunter and owning a business there for 4 years I developed a penchant for those hard to find rare and cult Aussie icons.
