Rascal Bourgogne Rouge 2009

The Rascal Bourgognes are the result of Phil's (and staff) visits to Burgundy in 2008 and 2009. Many consultations and select sampling (a tough task) have resulted in Armadale Cellars' importation of wines made under special contract for our store. Two barrels of each wine were made, making 100 dozen each, so the wine is limited and we believe of great quality, especially at a price that is from importer direct to you.

The 2009 Rascal Bourgogne Rouge is abound with sour cherry fruit flavours, cranberry, rhubarb, and some soft spices. The palate is well structured and carries more cherry flavours and shows the youthfulness of the wine.

Shipped by an importer-distributor this wine could retail at close to $50 per bottle, however you save as we sell it direct from Burgundy to you!

Cellaring: Drink mid 2011 - 2014.

Food match:Duck salad, veal scallopini, seared tuna, baked salmon dish with full roast (tomato, fennel, pumpkin).
