Both varieties are generally planted on warmer south facing slopes while the white varietes of Moscato and Dolcetto are planted on the lower, cooler sites. You can read more about the Barbaresco varietal here.
This classic Barbaresco, made from 100% Nebbiolo is made by the good quality family producer of Dezzani in Piedmonte who have vineyards in the Monferrato, Roero and Langhe regions.
The 2007 Dezzani Barbaresco is a wine of great power and intensity. The wine is layered, long and beautifully balanced, the tannins supple and silky on the finish.
